This AS was formely known as AS NTUA, named to the university. This was changed during the EMEAC 2013 in Bremen.
About the University / Faculty:
The National Technical University of Athens, founded in 1836, is among the oldest higher education institutions of Greece and the most prestigious among engineering schools. It consists of nine academic faculties, some related to engineering (e.g. civil, electrical & computer, chemical, mechanical) and some others related to architecture and general sciences. Particularly, the school of Mechanical Engineering has six sections: Section of Fluids, Section of Manufacturing Technology, Section of Thermal Engineering, Section of Nuclear Engineering, Section of Mechanical Design and Automatic Control and Section of Industrial Management and Operational Research. The duration of the degree is 5 years and it offers (among others) a specialization of air and ground transport vehicles.
