This year, EUROAVIA and Airbus, with the support of ArianeGroup, bring you The Airbus Sloshing Rocket Workshop, a design competition for bright and hard-working students all around Europe.

BSc and MSc students, in teams of 3 to 5 members, will be required to design, build and fly a reusable rocket which is destabilised by the movement of water stored within an unpressurised tank, otherwise known as the sloshing effect.

Nonetheless, everyone will firstly receive vital knowledge by attending webinar lessons conducted by industry professionals, experts in rocket design and sloshing. The competition will officially take off once the webinars have been completed.

During the first phase of the Airbus Sloshing Rocket Workshop, the teams are tasked to design their rockets and control mechanisms, followed by submitting a detailed report of their work for evaluation.Only the teams with the top five reports will proceed to the second phase, the hands-on Rocket Workshop. The five best teams will be invited to Patras, Greece, to assemble, test and launch their rockets during a full week.
