Office 365 is a collection of different software and services built around the Microsoft Office platform that are completely online-based, meaning that you only need a browser to access all of them. It is divided into four parts, Exchange, Office, Sharepoint and Lync, all accessible wth the same account at office365.euroavia.eu.
Exchange Online is a mail server, calendaring software and contact manager developed by Microsoft. It allows us to create and manage emails and mailing lists for the entire EUROAVIA. The International Board and the Working Groups are all using the international domain @euroavia.eu, while Affiliated Societies have a personalised subdomain @asname.euroavia.eu.
The Office Web Apps are the web-based version of the Office Desktop programs (Word, Excel, etc). They include: Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Access and One Note. They have limited features with respect to the desktop versions but they can be used via any browser without requiring you anything else installed on your PC. The Office Web Apps allow you to create documents anywhere in Sharepoint.
Sharepoint is a cloud based website for teams and represents the intranet of EUROAVIA. The main Sharepoint site collection can be found at https://euroavia365.sharepoint.com/ and contains documents and information for all EUROAVIA members, Local Groups, Working Groups and for the International Board.
Lync is professional video-conferecing tool that allows the sharing of video, screen, presentations (or only specific sections of your screen) with 2 or more people.
