About the Local Group: 

EUROAVIA Bremen is a Local Group counting 65 Members, counting almost an equal amount of Aerospace Technology and Aviation Systems students. One of the main features of the latter degree course is its purpose to qualify the students as prospective airline pilots, for which the University holds agreements with major airline carriers of Germany.

The Local Group's main activity takes place during the lecture weeks of the year, where several company visits to aerospace companies and air-bases from the region take place, along with social events, too. There are members participating at International Events regularly, who are supported by EUROAVIA Bremen. 

The ExMEAC & AMEAC 2018 was hosted by Bremen and has been a great experience for its 44 representatives participating and a succesfull event to further establish EUROAVIA International on the Aerospace-Scene in Europe.

About the University / Faculty: 

The University of Applied Sciences of Bremen was established in 1982. It counts around 10.000 Students in five faculties and more than 70 different degree courses. It is a University focused on internationality as well, so it has a broad amount of cooperating Universities across Europe for exchange programmes.

About the City: 

The City of Bremen is located in the north-western part of Germany. It is a Hanseatic City belonging to the Federal State of Bremen, which consist of both Bremen and Bremerhaven.

Its metropolitan population reaches roughly 2 million inhabitants. The City is well known for the fairy tale of the „Town Musicians of Bremen“ by The Grimm Brothers. Furthermore, the city showcases the Town Hall and the statue of the city protector „Roland“ as part of the UNESCO World- Heritage-Sites.

Industrially seen, Bremen is an enclave for aviation, aerospace and automotive. Big companies and institutes run offices and factories in the region. Well connected with an international airport, railway and highways the city is an important economic location in Germany.
