AFFILIATED SOCIETIES

AFFILIATED SOCIETIES

THE WG

The Affiliated Societies Working Group (AS WG) is in charge of maintaining a good channel of communication between existing Affiliated Societies inside EUROAVIA, and between the AS and the International Board. It also looks out for the well-being of the existing AS and engages new ones into the EUROAVIA community.

ITS TASKS
  • Board of Presidents Unit (BoP): Organises regular meetings between the representatives of neighbouring AS to establish an effective way to communicate between them and the IB.
  • Search & Rescue Unit (SaR): Looks out for AS with undergoing problems (e.g. not active) trying to re-activate them and assisting to solve their problems.
  • EUROAVIA Expansion Unit (EAX): Looks out for potential new Affiliated Sociates, gets in contact with them and guides them in the process of becoming an Affiliated Society.

INTERNATIONAL EVENT

INTERNATIONAL EVENT

THE WG

The International Events Working Group (IE WG) is in charge of providing support to the Affiliated Societies (AS) to organise an international event and ensure its high quality. It is important to highlight that the WG does not organise the event but gives all the support to the AS to organise it and promote it among all EUROAVIA members.

ITS TASKS
  • Work together with the organisation commitee of the AS in the organisation of an international event, defining a clear timeline and division of tasks.
  • Asign a tutor who is always available to provide tips and tricks for the proper organisation of the event.
  • Provide a calendar of the association’s activities along the year, organised in such a way to incentivate members to participate.

BUSINESS RELATIONS

BUSINESS RELATIONS

THE WG

The Business Relations Working Group (BR WG) is in charge of establishing and maintaining communication between third parties and EUROAVIA. It manages the marketing strategy and tries to increase the number of partners, at local and international level.

ITS TASKS
  • Approaching Unit: Profiles and approaches potential new partners and mantains a relation with existing ones.
  • Brochure Unit: Develops different versions of the EUROAVIA International Brochure for prospective partners as well as for all the new events and project of the association.
  • MoUs and Grants Unit: Writes the Memorandum of Understanding of a partnership/sponsorship or a compromise between a certain entity and EUROAVIA. Also, applies to grants from the EU for the activities and the projects organised by EUROAVIA.

HUMAN RESOURCES

HUMAN RESOURCES

THE WG

The Human Resources Working Group (HR WG) is in charge of recruiting people for all the Working Groups of the association and make sure that these WG are able to achieve their goals with its members.

ITS TASKS
  • Training/welcome unit: it is in charge of welcoming new people to EUROAVIA International and training them to a basic knowledge of EUROAVIA.
  • WG promotion unit: promotes WGs and EUROAVIA among members through the AS roundtables or the vacancies posted in the website. Also it performs interviews to recruit new members for the WGs, and to alumni to know about their experience inside EUROAVIA.

COMMUNICATION

COMMUNICATION

THE WG

The Communication Working Group (CM WG) is in charge of creating and designing the communication strategy of the Association along with the International Board in order to improve the image of EUROAVIA, both for its members and third parties.

ITS TASKS
  • Social Media Unit: it is responbible for updating all the Association’s social media pages, such as Instagram, Facebook, Twitter and LinkedIn.
  • Website Unit:it updates the News section and the Photo Gallery on the EUROAVIA website, and it takes care of the articles on the EUROAVIA Aeronautical Blog.
  • Press Unit: it oversees the realisation of the yearly EUROAVIA Magazine, asking for and reviewing all contributions and content. Moreover, it writes and sends the EUROAVIA Newsletter monthly.

INFORMATION TECHNOLOGY

INFORMATION TECHNOLOGY

THE WG

The Information Technology Working Group (IT WG) takes care of the digital services of EUROAVIA. This includes the website, the e-mailing system, the central archive, the cloud and Discord server. The WG also provides support to Local Groups who request help to improve their website, personalized e-mail addresses or a Team site.

ITS TASKS
  • Website Unit: Improves and provides general maintenance to the association’s website. Also develops new websites and provides support for domain requests.
  • HelpDesk Unit: Provide e-mail adresses to all members to access all the Office 365 tools (Mailing system, Teams, SharePoint, etc) and provide support for their use.
  • Discord Server Unit: Maintains, improves and develops EUROAVIA’s Discord server.

EUROAVIA Training System

EUROAVIA Training System

THE WG

The EUROAVIA Training System Working Group (ETS WG) aims at delivering soft skills formation to EUROAVIA members. Such formation is delivered both with specific training sessions requested by AS, or during International Events. The WG is composed by qualified Trainers and has its own board.

ITS TASKS
  • Organise training activities during any International Event, especially the Formation Workshops (FoWos), that are mainly focused on the development of soft skills.
  • Organise their main event, the Train New Trainers (TNT), focused on the development of soft skills, to educate new generations of EUROAVIA Certified Trainers.
  • Organises and delivers the EUROAVIA Online Training Wave.

Contrary to all other WGs, the only way to join the ETS WG is to participate to the Train New Trainers (TNT) International Event, and become a certified EUROAVIA Trainer.

DESIGN

DESIGN

THE WG

The Design Working Group (DN WG) takes care of the visual image of EUROAVIA and oversees the Corporate Identity of the Association. It deals with the creation of the merchandise and promotional material like posters, brochures, logos and the design of the EUROAVIA website, newsletter and magazine.

ITS TASKS
  • Design the graphics of the brochures working along with the BR WG. Their aim is to attract new partners and sponsors, and promote International Events.
  • Design of every social media campaign, working closely with the CM WG or other WGs that require promotional material like the trainings sessions of the ETS WG, or the job offers of the HR WG.
  • Update the Corporate Identity of the association, to make sure that the guidelines are clear and understandable.

THE WG

The European Grant Working Group (REC WG) takes care of EUROAVIA application to European Grants, in order to get funding for the various projects and events.

ITS TASKS
  • Look and apply for European grants to support EUROAVIA’s activities and structural costs.

  • Revise and modify the bylaws of EUROAVIA.
  • Update the EUROAVIA statutes.
