Here's what you should know:
EUROAVIA is an international student association with several Local Groups across Europe, India and Africa. Local Groups spread and live the EUROAVIA spirit, a set of common values based upon hard work, innovation, cultural awareness, team work and international networking. EUROAVIA’s heart beats thanks to the work done inside each of its Local Groups.
There are different types of Local Groups:
- Affiliated Society (AS) - a full member of EUROAVIA, with all rights and obligations;
- Prospective Affiliated Society (PAS) - a group that is in the process of becoming an AS.
- Adjunct Member (AM) - a group located outside the geographical borders of Europe and that have limited rights and obligations compared to an AS.
- Prospective Adjunct Member (PAM) - a group that is in the process of becoming an AM.
At the moment EUROAVIA counts 43 local groups in 17 countries, reaching up to more than 2000 members.
Why should you join EUROAVIA?
You should join EUROAVIA because it is a student organisation that unites students from all over Europe, India and Africa who share the same passion for aeronautics and space.
By joining EUROAVIA you can get in touch with different cultures and people with the more diverse backgrounds. Moreover, you are offered with incomparable advantages and opportunities: You can become an active part of the aerospace world, start shaping the aerospace industry of tomorrow and get in touch with the biggest and most influencing companies in the European aerospace scene.
Joining our events gives you the opportunity to acquire practical knowledge and soft skills, experiencing something that your sole studies will never be able to offer you. All this... While having lots of fun!
If there is an Affiliated Society in your university, we invite you to join our network.
If you are already part of an association who shares the same spirit, goals and interests of EUROAVIA, then you should definitely consider joining us. Otherwise, you can create your own AS from scratch.
How to create a new AS?
- Download and fill in the Motivation Letter. Then, send it to the Affiliated Societies Working Group (AS WG) and to the International Board (IB).
- If we respond positively, you will become a Possible Prospective Affiliated Society (PPAS) or a Possible Prospective Adjunct Member (PPAM) if you are based outside of Europe. From this point on, the process of joining us has started.
- During the upcoming EUROAVIA Congress you will have the possibility to give a presentation about your Local Group, university, city and local or national aerospace industry, and explain the reason that has brought you to join EUROAVIA.
- After your presentation, the Congress will vote to decide if you deserve to become part of EUROAVIA, and, in case of a favourable outcome, you will become a Prospective Affiliated Society (PAS) or, again, a Prospective Adjunct Member (PAM) in case you are based outside of Europe.

We, AS Aachen, want to add value to the academic and social life of our members while fulfilling our mission. Also keeping the EUROAVIA spirit alive is the objective we want to pursue.
AS Ankara
×Aviation and Space Society (HUT) locally, aiming at gathering students interested on aviation and space under a single roof. Established within the Middle East Technical University, which is a valuable and diverse Turkish institution, AS Ankara counts twenty years of history. With nearly 30 members, AS Ankara creates opportunities for students to improve themselves technically and socially whilst having lots of fun!
AS Athens
×AS Athens was founded in 2006 and it is based at the National Technical University of Athens. Since then, it has actively participated in the Air Cargo Challenge as well as EUROAVIA Congresses, and it hopes to make a difference in the European aerospace sector!
AS Beograd

Beoavia represents the cohesion of students from ten faculties of the University of Belgrade, and was founded in 2018. We are designers and manufacturers of unmanned aerial vehicles and rockets for international competitions.
AS Bordeaux
×Based at the Arts et Métiers facilities, one of the top French engineering schools, we organise a lot of visits and conferences on up-to-date spatial and aeronautic topics. We also have dedicated workshops, in synergy with other universities and research labs, where we can develop our projects, such as satellites, drones, self-landing rockets or, more recently, AI programs.

We are associated with the Technical University of Braunschweig also called Research University, one of the TU9 universities. AS Braunschweig provides students in all subdomains of the aerospace sector a great community and opportunities for their professional and academical growth.
AS București

Founded in 1991, our association counts almost 150 aerospace enthusiasts, always ready to participate in the many projects and events that we carefully organize each year.
AS Cádiz
×AS Cádiz is situated in the Superior Engineering School from the University of Cádiz in Puerto Real, and it was founded in 2014. They have organized multiple visits to Airbus and the aerospace industry facilities as well as Spanish Air-force bases all around the province. It also participated in competitions such as the Air Cargo Challenge and XTRA2.
AS Castelldefels
×AS Castelldefels is located at the Baix Llobregat Campus (CBL) in the city of Castelldefels, near Barcelona, since 2021. They organise all sort of workshops and activities for their members.
AS Cluj-Napoca
×We, AS Cluj-Napoca are located at the Technical University of Cluj-Napoca. We encopass enthusiastic and motivated bachelor's, master's and Ph.D. students. Our members have team spirit and multicultural knowledge, and they are interested in aerospace applications and developments. We are open to everyone who wishes to join us.

×Our members are aviation technology students and pilots-in-training from VIVES University of Applied Sciences based on the Belgian coast: the Flemish Aviation Training Centre. Our mission is for our members to experience first hand what the aerospace industry is really like, and help them broaden their network trough company visits, field trips, workshops, guest speakers, internship contracts and much more!

Our group was established in Rzeszow almost twenty years ago. We have been participating in many UAV design competitions such as SAE AERO Design and Air Cargo Challenge. We also organise meetings with people from the aviation industry, and participate in charity events.

AS Tampere
×EUROAVIA Tampere is located in central Finland and it consists of members from Tampere University and from Tampere University of Applied Sciences. Our association joined EUROAVIA as AS Helsinki back in 1985, and moved to Tampere with the Aeronautical Engineering faculty. We are active in competitions and our team has now participated in the Air Cargo Challenge and is willing to accept new challenges ahead. We also hold education development meetings every half a year with the university staff.

We make our members fall in love with the aeroespace world with many events and activities.
